Running and walking creates energy that allows the mind to be open to sharing feelings and working through anxious and depressive emotions. When this space is provided, you will naturally work towards making change in your life and begin accepting the past. The "hamster wheel" thoughts you once had consuming you day in and day out, will begin to lessen. You will start to feel a sense of calm in your daily life.
My Best Work
I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their childhood, such as verbal, sexual, or physical abuse. If you've struggled with addiction due to the pain, I also work with individuals who are working on recovery from alcohol and other drugs.
Why Movement Works
It can be very hard and challenging to discuss trauma sitting face to face. Many people become fidgety and have a difficult time sitting down and suddenly feel the urgency to flee the room. Moving your body in the process really helps work through those difficult feelings that have been bottled up for so long. When combining running or walking with therapy, you will feel better both physically and mentally.
We will run and talk at a comfortable conversational pace and rest as needed. You may chose to run or walk at anytime during the process.
We live in WI and experience the wonderful four seasoned state. I am flexible with how you'd like to do treatment. We can run or walk in any season or you can chose this as one option and also choose in-home or online therapy. The options are yours!
I'm available between 9:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Payment must be received within 24-hours in advance. I accept cash or credit card. You may pay on my website or I can send you a direct invoice.
I encourage using out-of-network insurance too. Most out-of-network insurances cover 50-80% of the cost after your deductible has been met. We can work together on learning about your insurance benefits and I can call on your behalf. When you do use out-of-network, all sessions will still need to be paid in full at your scheduled time. I can provide you with a receipt (superbill) to submit for reimbursement.

Currently ALL sessions are offered via Telehealth (online). I use a virtual HIPAA compliant platform and is available to anyone who resides in Wisconsin.
Takes the same approach as in-person with the exception of doing face-to-face online therapy. This is done anywhere in Wisconsin via video. If you live in a rural area or have a tight schedule, online therapy provides accessibility and convenience.
Mom Support Therapy
Is designed especially for pregnant women and postpartum moms and beyond who are struggling with feeling emotionally overwhelmed, alone, depressed, anxious, experiencing intrusive thoughts or have a sense of identity loss. Having support during this time period will help you to not feel alone.
Movement and being outdoors increases creativity and opens the mind, making it easier to open up and work through negative thoughts and feelings. When we are side-by-side rather than making direct eye contact, it reduces individuals' self-judgment.
