Faith Beckley, MSW, LCSW

About My Therapy Practice:

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating perinatal mental health concerns, at any stage of their journey. I understand that along with the joy and happiness this life change can bring, it can also produce anxiety, sadness,  stress, uncertainty, a feeling of never enough, among other difficult thoughts and feelings. These feelings can be intense, overwhelming, and sometimes scary. I’m here to support you through them.

One of my areas of passion and focus is supporting parents-to-be and new parents who also have ADHD. I recognize that the feelings of shame, anxiety, and guilt that accompany this period can feel intensified for people who are neurodivergent. My hope is that our work together will help reframe the shame, guilt, and anxiety toward realizing the inherent strength and assets that you already have and can build upon.

My role is to be a safe place, set apart, for you to process thoughts and feelings, gain coping strategies, and sort life out. You can expect partnership and collaboration at every stage of our work together. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and work toward meeting your goals and needs. It is my honor to navigate this journey with you.

My Approach:

In my practice, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I draw from different therapeutic approaches to meet your unique needs.

Therapeutic approaches that I incorporate into our work together:

  • Insight Oriented Therapy- Helps you understand the root causes of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- Recognizes and reframes unhelpful thoughts, manages overwhelming emotions, and connects thoughts and feelings to actions.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy- Develops emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills and  strategies along with increasing interpersonal effectiveness (improving relationships between self and others).

  • Psychoeducation- Empowers you with information and knowledge about common changes, challenges, supports, and strategies to manage the perinatal period.

I also integrate mindfulness practices into our work, helping you develop awareness and self-compassion. Together, we will focus on finding practical solutions to the challenges you're facing.

Services:

All sessions are provided via Telehealth through SimplePractice, a secure and HIPAA-compliant video platform. Each session is approximately 55 minutes long.

Parents are always welcome to bring their baby or toddler into sessions as needed.

What Brought Me to Cup of Thoughts Therapy:

I graduated from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work in 2016 with a focus on clinical social work with children and families. In addition to my previous private therapy practice, my work experience includes running an after-school and summer program for young people living in public housing neighborhoods, victim advocacy, and PreK through early college age school social work. In all of my work experiences there has been a common thread– working with parents and pregnant people to navigate the challenges that accompany this stage of life.

Through my work with children and families, I also developed a passion for supporting folks who are neurodivergent. My previous private practice work focused on helping new moms navigate postpartum anxiety and depression while managing their ADHD symptoms.

My family relocated to Wisconsin from Denver, Colorado in early 2025 and I jumped at the opportunity to join Cup of Thoughts Therapy!

About Me:

I’m a proud mama to a VERY busy toddler and most of my time outside of work is spent with him and my husband. My own pregnancy journey further deepened my passion for working with parents and those trying to become parents. I know how challenging this time can be– and the difference that support, community, and compassion can make as you’re going through it!

Most of my spare time is spent playing with cars or dinosaurs with my son, playing outside, or building block structures that he quickly knocks down and yells “BOOM”. Outside of family time, I enjoy video games, some good reality tv, and spending time with friends.

Action Steps:

When you’re ready to move forward, please submit a contact form or request a free consultation. I know things are hard right now– with the right support things do get better!
